I’m a Nurse Practitioner who specializes in Psychiatric Mental Health.
I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. Even though I have a doctoral degree, I go by Nurse Karga so there’s no confusion between my role and that of a medical doctor.
In my practice, I diagnose mental health conditions, prescribe and manage medications, order and review lab work, and provide supportive therapy—similar to what you might receive from a psychiatrist.
To ensure safe and effective care, I focus on clients whose needs fit within my scope. I do not treat conditions that require a higher level of care, such as severe eating disorders, severe autism, active substance use disorders, complex medical‑psychiatric cases, or geriatric psychiatric conditions.
I also do not provide psychological testing or ADHD diagnostic testing.
